ABSTRACT
This article reports that SCO Group Inc. has reaffirmed its commitment to the retail industry with new and innovative solutions at the annual National Retail Federation (NRF) show. The MySQL Network Edition running on SCO OpenServer 6 and the upcoming suite of Me Inc. digital services were among the SCO solutions exhibited at NRF. SCO also announced digital services technology for creating, managing, and customizing digital services for business, government and consumer users. Tim Negris, senior vice president of marketing at SCO, commented that the retail industry has embraced SCO technology over the years because of its non-stop product reliability that enables retailers to focus on their business without worrying about the technology that is running their business. The Me Inc. digital services for smart handheld devices is a new, future growth area for the firm.
