RFMD Software-Based GPS Circuit

The article reports that Greensboro, North Carolina-based RF Micro Devices Inc. has designed the RFMD GPS RF8110 software-based GPS circuit. The circuit is designed for integration of GPS applications in smartphones, wireless PDA, digital cameras, gaming devices and other mobile devices. It eliminates the need for a dedicated application-specific integrated circuit.
