ABSTRACT
The article talks about the life of Nathan Brannen as a Canadian athlete. Beating his mentor as a national champion was not in the expectations of Brannen as a distance runner. His mentor, Kevin Sullivan, was the one who recruited him to his alma mater and served as his role model for being a record holder. Furthermore, Brannen sees more from his athletic career as long as he would remain injury free for a couple of years.
