ABSTRACT
The article reports on the emergence of chaise-styled seats in the furniture industry in the U.S. Long an outdoor staple, the chaise moved indoors big-time during the past several years to become a major seating piece. Several factors including the laid-back look and feel of the chaise has boosted sales and making it one of the most popular accent pieces in the industry. INSET: Product's roots trace back to Egyptian times.
