ABSTRACT
The article discusses the concepts used by big box retailer companies which created an identity crisis in the industry in the U.S. Mervyn's Retail Chain Co. advertised strongly that the company was one of the top 10 home textiles retail accounts. Sears Holding Co. has kept on developing concepts of retailing after the other. The concepts created by the companies has lost the concept of the product.
