ABSTRACT
In this article the author reports on the state of government-funded healthcare in Great Britain in 2006. Findings by three healthcare agencies have found that the elderly are not well served under the National Health Service. The author recalls that he led a campaign to assist the elderly in hospitals in 1998 and states that by 2006 little had changed. He lays the blame for inadequacies on the Labor Party health ministers in the government of Prime Minister Tony Blair.
