ABSTRACT
The article reports on the demonstration conducted by the government securities due to the unexpected drop in new home sales as a sign of a slowing housing market in the U.S. According to the traders, when the tax-exempt bond market has been inundated with bid-wanted lists, people have been looking for bonds. A senior market economist, Kevin Logan, has stated that new home sales is a better indicator of housing market activity than existing home sales.
