ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the restoration of various libraries in New Orleans, Louisiana after the onslaught of Hurricane Katrina. Several public and private libraries resumed their services after the hurricane that destroyed facilities and books. Groups and individuals have volunteered to restore library services and protect books and other library collections from further deterioration. Significantly, the State Library of Louisiana has gathered data from all public libraries and branches in the state. Finally, donated books form publishers and individuals will be sorted, cataloged, and processed for those libraries that are rebuilding and restocking.
