ABSTRACT
The article reports that boom stability is an issue for most sprayer operators, particularly as application speeds rise. Housebam Sprayers agreed to build a 30m boom for the farm's 3000-litre self-propelled sprayer, with individual tilt for each of the wings rather than the standard rigid design. Automatic boom height and attitude control allows the operator to work raster with confidence, because there's less risk of ground strikes.
