ABSTRACT
Eleven species of Psilocybe reported from the State of Jalisco of the 55 known from Mexico are discussed. The earliest bibliographic report from Jalisco dates from 1973. Psilocybe coprophila is reported for first time from two localites of the County of San Sebastin del Oeste. Moreover, P. villarrealiae and P. laurae are described as new species; they belong to the Section Cordisporae, and consequently present neurotropic properties. With these fungi, the neurotropic species of Psilocybe known from Jalisco are eight.
