Employment tribunal claims drop 25 per cent to hit seven-year low

The article on the decline in the number of employment tribunal claims to a seven-year low in 2005 in Great Britain. The primary reason why most applicants bring an employment claim is unfair dismissal. It accounts for 39,727 claims. The next most common reaons are unauthorized deduction of wages and breach of contract. The largest amount awarded in the employment tribunals was £179,026 for a discrimination case.
