ABSTRACT
The article reports on Representative Kevin Brady's introduction of a legislation that would change the tax laws to allow privately owned air and water pollution control facilities to be financed with tax-exempt private-activity bonds in the U.S. Private-activity bond financing of water and air pollution mitigation projects was permitted before the enactment of the Tax Reform Act of 1986.
