ABSTRACT
The article reports that New York City deputy mayor for economic development, Daniel Doctoroff, has called the economics of rebuilding the World Trade Center a financial train wreck. According to Doctoroff, under the current financing arrangement, leaseholder Larry Silverstein will likely run out of money after building only two of the five office towers slated for the site.
