Subpoena by Hurtgen Quashed for Technical Reasons

The article reports that a United States District Court judge agreed to suppress a subpoena served last February 2006 on the Chicago, Illinois-based financial advisory firm Scott Balice Strategies by the indicted former Bear Stearns & Co. public finance banker P. Nicholas Hurtgen. The subpoena seeks documents from the financial advisory firm received or sent between January 1, 1995 and June 8, 2004. It also makes a similar request regarding communications between the firm and the individuals and current and former members of the planning board.
