ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA) to pressure the United States Securities and Exchange Commission to require issuers to the Central Post Office disclosure facility to transmit their secondary market bond-related disclosure documents to repositories. The group also plans to develop a policy paper that will provide recommendation on what information municipal issuers should disclose to the marketplace during a disaster. It also expects to launch the Gateway project, an Internet site that will post links to state and local municipal issuers' bond-related financial and socio-economic information.
