The article announces the appointment of Vincent Berkeley, Jr. as the chief diversity officer of the board of directors of Compass Group in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2005. Berkeley served as senior vice president of diversity and corporate relations for Burger King and senior vice president of restaurant operations in the Southeast. He was also formerly affiliated with PepsiCo and Marriott Corporation's Gino's restaurant chain.
