ABSTRACT
This article reports on an advertising campaign being planned by Mazda North American Operations for its 2000-model MPV minivan as of July 12, 1999. The company debuts two TV spots and print advertisements on September 6 that will run through the first quarter. In the interim, Mazda is running a contest giving away one-year leases on MPVs and other merchandise. It has promoted effort through direct mail, dealership displays and its Web site. Debbie Hjelmstrom, Mazda's manager of integrated marketing, said that the interim effort is one of the company's real integrated pre-launch campaigns.
