ABSTRACT
The article reports that U.S. President George W. Bush has nominated Idaho governor Dirk Kempthorne to be the Interior Secretary. Kempthorne is in the final year of his second term and is not planning to seek a third term. Several environmental organizations are criticizing Kempthorne's nomination. However, most people believe the governor will be confirmed.
