ABSTRACT
This article reports on the launch of the first advertising campaign of Choice Hotels International in Europe and South America, created by Gray Kirk/VanSant. Print campaigns for Comfort Inns and Quality Inns will be released in August 1999, in addition to a television commercial for the latter. Both efforts will highlight a new toll-free reservation number. Advertising for Choice has focused on individual brands. The company is looking overseas for expansion since the U.S. market has become increasingly crowded.
