ABSTRACT
The article reports on the call on the Virginia House of Delegates by a Virginia official to support pending legislation that would increase sales tax in Arlington and Fairfax counties as well as Alexandria, Falls Church and Fairfax city. The sales tax will increase by a quarter of a percentage point. The revenue will be dedicated to the region's transit system.
