ABSTRACT
The article discusses the factors contributing to the improving women's sales at the U.S. retail industry in March 2006. Sporting goods retailers are reaching out to women because this market influences a significant share of the buying decisions for the family, particularly on the apparel side. Stores are also keen on capitalizing on women because the merchandise selections have been significantly upgraded. INSET: SHOPPING AROUND.
