ABSTRACT
The article reports on a SyncML OXtender which will be offered by Open-Xchange Inc. free through March 2006 into the core product, Open-Xchange Server. Users of the open source server can now connect and interface with most mobile devices. SyncML OXtender is an open standard that is capable of driving data mobility by establishing a common language for communications between devices, applications and networks. According to Open-Xchange CEO Frank Hoberg, SyncML is transforming into the cross-platform standard, capable of solving compatibility problems.
