ABSTRACT
The article cites that the widespread adoption of radio frequency identification (RFID) has been challenged by factors such as the cost of hardware, lack of standards, regional disparities of frequencies and investment, constant changes made to the product and the need for upgrades. The fundamental rationale of RFID is to improve the efficiency of existing security applications.
