ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the use of Internet Protocol (IP) in the security systems industry. The long term use of IP includes the simplification of complex video systems that may include several types of cameras, large scale matrix switching devices, multiplexers, digital recorders, personal computers and analytical software packages. IP cameras can improve productivity and obtain marketing and customer data.
