The article reports on Topeka, Kansas-based community bank Heritage Bank's use of remote deposit capture as a selling point to its small business customers. The bank deploys Panini North America's My Vision X check scanner as its check capture product. Simecka Consulting teamed with My Vision X to sell the fully electronic time processing product to the bank. Heritage Bank executive Greg Fankhauser cites the case of a heat and air conditioning customer who saves 45 minutes a day by not having to bring its deposits to the bank then head back to the office.
