ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the value of being prepared in all aspects in the U.S. The author recalls on the preparedness that went on him on the event of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack and Hurricane Katrina. He comments that the lack of comprehensive planning tends to led to chaos and panicking. He states that there is no nation that is prepared when a major catastrophe strikes and cite the example of the Hurricane Katrina wherein there is no disaster plan system being established. The catastrophic events on the past years led to the people to established a much considerable and effective disaster recovery plan and the application of technology that will help maintain the communications.
