ABSTRACT
The article comments on a study by G. J. Rodrigo and colleagues which reviews various research to determine whether inhaled anticholinergic agents plus β2 agonists can enhanced outcome in children and adults with acute asthma exacerbations compared to β2 agonists alone. The meta-analysis confirms the effectiveness of adding an anticholinergic agent. Clinical judgment is required to determine the severity of asthma and the number of doses to be used.
