ABSTRACT
The article presents an update related to Indians of North America in California as of January 2006. The book of poems "The Smokehouse Boys," by Shaunna Oteka McCovey has been published. The book "Indian Summer" was reprinted and redesigned. Sylvia Ross, author of the book "Lion Singer," has guested at the teacher's week reception at Modesto's Barnes and Noble on October 19, 2005.
