The article focuses on the development of a fully validated high-performance liquid chromatographic method for determining nifedipine in serum of women in preterm labor in Poland. Nifedine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that is proven effective in treating cardiovascular disorders. In the study, the photodiode array detector was used to allow simultaneous collection of chromatograms at different wavelengths. It was found that the method is simple to perform, precise, and stability-indicating.
