The article profiles comedian W. C. Fields, also known as the Rowdy King of Comedy. At the age of 14, Fields arrived in Atlantic City to seek for his fortune. He worked at Fortescue as a tramp juggler but he resigned because of low salary. He found a job at the carnival and at the Globe Museum but his was discontented. He found his fortune and fame in Vaudeville at the Eastern circuit.
