ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the performance of the high-yield issuance in the market in the U.S. in 2006. According to Thomson Financial Inc., about 14.5 billion dollars worth of new high-yield bonds were priced. However, the deals slowed down with only 3.5 billion dollars worth of issues. Several analysts are being optimistic about the possible increased activity within the market.
