ABSTRACT
Comments on a case of a 59-year-old man with fever who had travelled to Nantucket, Massachusetts and Southeast Asia within the year. Presence of tachycardia, splenomegaly, and scattered petechiae; Tests indicating anemia, thrombocytopenia and bleeding diathesis; Treatment with quinine and clindamycin for the babesiosis, and doxycycline for the Lyme disease.
