Virginia Gov. to Veto Budget If Transportation Issues Persist

The article reports that Virginia Governor Timothy M. Kaine will veto the fiscal 2007-2008 biennial budget if the version that state lawmakers will approve diverts money from the Transportation Trust Fund to non-transportation spending. He promised to amend any bill enhancing transportation revenue sources during his term. His comments came after the state Department of Transportation has unveiled its plan to construct an expressway that might need to financed in part with bonds.
