ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increase of import and export price indexes in January 2006 in the U.S. Import prices grow at 1.3 percent as the prices of petroleum increase by 6.4 percent. Meanwhile, export prices grow at 0.7 percent following an unrevised 0.1 growth in December 2005. Between January 2005 and January 2006, the import index increases by 5.7 percent, while export prices grows at 4.0 percent in the same period.
