ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the launch of DriFX, a brand of moisture management product developed by Ciba Specialty Chemicals. What also sets the product apart is the company's brand marketing. According to NPD, a market research firm, 25 percent of all apparel sold in the U.S. has some kind of performance effect, and that number is projected to double in upcoming years. The company, which is headquartered in Switzerland, and is a global leader in the finishing and dye business, tested DriFX against 100 percent polyester product and 84/16 polyester/spandex product-the two most common types of moisture management materials in the marketplace.
