ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the high demand of insoles in the U.S. as of February 2006. In addition to absorbing shock and cushioning feet, the newest insole offerings take into account gender-specific requirements and sport-specific demands. Retailers who have a dedicated footcare section in their store, with a variety of insole brands represented, are reporting strength in the category. Evan Wert, vice-president of sales and marketing at Shock Doctor, points out that the market continues to grow.
