ABSTRACT
The article discusses the footwear styles designed by U.S. footwear companies for the fall season of 2006. In the casual market, the newest footwear treats boast a range of candy colors and interesting patterns, Hound's tooth, funky camo, and stripes are particularly prevalent on the women's side, as evidenced by the Gravis Lowdown SO and Sebago Wave Extreme Leather, the Merrell Mosaic and the Nice Shoes Ninety-Eight. For men, unique design details include hidden features such as the small zippered pocked in the tongue of the Kangaroos Radient, and the bottle opener built into the outsole of Reef's The Mick.
