ABSTRACT
This article reports that the pressure on TCF Financial Corp.'s fee revenue is beginning to show signs of abating, according to two analysts who issued favorable comments on the Wayzata, Minn., company last week. Terry J. McEvoy of Oppenheimer & Co. upgraded the stock Friday to "buy," from "neutral." He said in an interview that he expects TCF to hit earnings estimates, despite an industrywide slowdown in banking-related fee income that has hurt the company more than many others.
