ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the growth and development of the company Aluminum Banking. Aluminum Blanking has been operating as a toll processor with a workforce of 105 in two shifts. About 120 million pounds of aluminum was processed last year and 140 million pounds are to be handled in 2006. Seven blanking lines are being operated by the company in three buildings totaling 180,000 square feet on the Pontiac site. Since most of the available land has been occupied by the company, very less space is left to repeat the process. The company's core business is aluminum processing but it also handles a small amount of stainless steel. Aluminum Blanking recently hired Pennsylvania-based Herr-Voss Stamco, in order to meet the need for corrective leveling of heavy-gauge aluminum. Herr-Voss Stamco supplies 40-50 levelers each year.
