ABSTRACT
This article reports on the Service Center Outlook Survey for the metal industry in the U.S. conducted by the journal "Metal Center News." The survey has found that the industry optimism has slightly been reduced by threats of a slowing economy and moderating metals prices. Overall, 90 percent of respondents were somewhat or very optimistic about their prospects for the coming year, in comparison to 92 percent last year. Companies included in the survey ranged from less than $500,000 in annual revenues to more than $4 billion. INSET: Handy Reference Guide to MGN's Outlook Themes..
