Edgen Expands with Purchase of Murray International Metals

This article reports that Edgen Corp. has acquired Murray International Metals Inc., for an approximate purchase price of $21.1 million. CEO Dan O'Leary said that due to this acquisition, the specialty carbon steel product offering of the company has been expanded to provide high yield pipe, plate and structural sections to the upstream oil and gas industry. Leary added that the company can distribute specialty steel products for the oil and gas, process and power generation industries after this acquisition.
