ABSTRACT
This article reports on the acquisition of Homewood, Illinois-based North American Steel LLC by Chicago, Illinois-based steel services company Esmark Inc. According to Esmark CEO James P. Bouchard, the North American Steel acquisition enables his company to add one of the top service centers in the Midwest market. Founded in 1993, North American Steel produces a range of cold-roll, coated and made-to-order steel products for the automotive, commercial/residential construction, container and appliance industries.
