ABSTRACT
The article discusses legislative agenda relevant to members of the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Publication of the "Independent Budget" for fiscal year 2007 marked the 20th anniversary of the publication which is presented every year to Congress. The Supreme Court unanimously ruled in favor of paraplegic complainant Tony Goodman, whose lawyers cited the Americans with Disabilities Act. Senator Tom Harkin introduced the Emergency Preparedness and Response for Individuals with Disabilities Act of 2005.
