ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decline of profits of Bermuda-based Assured Guaranty Ltd. for the fourth quarter of 2005. The decline was due to expenses related to the value of some derivative investments. The company's total profits actually rose. for all of 2004. Public finance business gross premium has totaled 10.6 million dollars in the fourth quarter.
