ABSTRACT
The article reports on the merger and acquisition (M&A) activity in the middle market in the United States. The growth of small deals has led M&A firm Harris Williams & Co., and its parent PNC, to position Cobblestone Advisors, a special group within Harris focusing on transactions valued at less than $40 million, as a national advisory brand for the market. Also, Cobblestones opened a second location in Philadelphia and added four new employees.
