ABSTRACT
The article reports on the factors contributing to the increase in insurance penetration in the U.S. The increased competition combined with a challenging pricing environment is putting enormous pressure on companies to write new business. The increase in variable-rate issuance may also have played a role in elevating the penetration rate.
