ABSTRACT
The article reports that Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc., Banc of America Securities LLC and Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc. each submitted winning bids to lead manage state general obligation bond issues in competitive sales totaling $551 million in the United States. The underwriting of $260 million of Series 2006E motor vehicle fuel tax general obligations went to Merrill Lynch while Banc of America won $236 million in various-purpose general obligations with a bid of 4.4312 percent in true interest cost over the 25-year span.
