ABSTRACT
The article reports on the findings of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's monthly manufacturing survey showing that manufacturing activity in the region continued to accelerate in January 2006. Based on the figures, the production index rose to 21 in January 2006 from 14 in December 2005. Also, the volume of shipments index increased to 16 from 5 while the volume of new orders index gained 19 from 13.
