ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of West Virginia's turnpike authority to delay the issuance of up to 100 million dollars in tax-exempt, toll-backed revenue bonds. Legislators expressed concern over the agency's decision to raise tolls by 60 percent on the 88-mile state turnpike. It was the plan of the West Virginia Parkways, Economic Development & Tourism Authority to issue bonds in early 2006.
