The article focuses on the interior design of the south wing of William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. The entry of the three-story atrium has high gloss gray marble floors. Accentuating the atrium is the waterfall-like installation of Gerhardt Knodel entitled "The Echo of Flora Exotica." The installation created grandiosity and almost festive spirit.
